Will it work in my country?
TeliSIM can be used virtually anywhere in the world, including the GSM footprints offered by Tier1 mobile operators such as AT&T, T-Mobile, China Mobile, Vodafone, América Móvil, Telefonica, Orange and anywhere else a GSM cellular signal is available.

TeliSIM is a global roaming solution designed for travelers while visiting other countries. It is not meant for use within your customer’s home country.

What kinds of phones will it work with?
Any unlocked GSM phone – basic or smartphone – can be used. The local provider’s SIM card can easily be replaced with a TeliSIM SIM card. Alternatively, a dual SIM card mobile phone or a spare GSM phone can be used while traveling.
How does it work?
TeliSIM enables telecom service providers to open their own global roaming MVNO business, offering highly profitable mobile voice, data and SMS services to travelers.

Do I need my own server?
No, TeliSIM is a cloud-based hosted solution. You can offer services without deploying any infrastructure of your own.

Roaming Agreements

Termination Costs
Termination from GSM operators is much more expensive than VoIP termination. Telinta’s hosted softswitch platform connects outbound calls to the destination number via cost-effective VoIP rather than higher-cost termination purchased from mobile operators. With TeliSIM, your costs will be lower.

Roaming Minute Prices
Unlike VoIP minutes, end users pay much higher prices for global roaming, for example $1 per minute or more in many places.

Increased End User Minutes
The price per minute is an important factor that determines how many minutes an end user is willing to consume while traveling. High roaming prices mean the phone may only get used for emergencies. But with lower-cost TeliSIM minutes, your customers will not be inhibited by high prices. Your business profits not only by lower costs, but also by increased volumes of minutes used by your customers.

Can I have resellers?
Yes, like all of Telinta’s solutions, TeliSIM is a white label solution that can be branded by you and your resellers.
Can I brand the SIM cards?
Depending on the quantity of SIM cards you order as part of your TeliSIM solution, TeliSIM SIM cards can be branded. TeliSIM SIM cards can also be provided in an unbranded credit card sized plastic holder which you can brand any way you need with a sticker.
Like all of our solutions, TeliSIM is provided on a “white label” basis, so you and your resellers can brand them as needed.
TeliSIM SIM cards are part of your TeliSIM solution. Third-party SIM cards cannot be used with TeliSIM.

Can I have Local Phone Numbers?
Yes, TeliSIM lets you use local phone numbers available from your own DID providers. Using the intelligence of our hosted softswitch platform, you can use as many Local Phone Numbers as you need with each TeliSIM SIM card.

TeliSIM includes two free DIDs (one for the US and one for the UK), which we call “Native DIDs.” However you can add additional DIDs from your DID provider to offer local phone numbers virtually anywhere in the world you need. We call these “Foreign DIDs.”

With TeliSIM, your customers can have a local number virtually anywhere in the world they travel, provided that DIDs are available from your provider for that location.

How do users place a call?
Users simply dial the phone number they wish to call. Their phone’s display informs them that their call is being placed. Telinta’s hosted softswitch platform initiates a Callback session, connecting the TeliSIM user’s phone to the dialed number.
Can TeliSIM work with Direct Calling rather than Callback?
Callback is a key element in the cost savings you can offer to your customers, and the profits you can earn with TeliSIM.
Direct Calling, without using Callback, is currently available for outbound calls placed both from and to locations within the European Union, as well as additional select locations in North America, the Caribbean, Europe and the Middle East. In all other areas, TeliSIM functions via Callback for outbound calls. Inbound calls are always direct, regardless of location.
Unlike traditional Callback, TeliSIM does not require access numbers or SMS to make a call. Users merely dial the number they wish to call, and TeliSIM does the rest!
Does it require WiFi?
No, TeliSIM calls are placed over the GSM network, without using WiFi or mobile data for voice calling, and without installing any special apps. TeliSIM is an MVNO solution using the GSM mobile network for calling, and is not an Over the Top (OTT) solution.
Can customers have mobile data?
Yes, TeliSIM includes mobile voice, data and SMS services. Users can check email, send and receive SMS, surf the web and perform any other function their GSM device is designed to do. Services like email or internet use mobile data, however voice calling via TeliSIM is totally separate from mobile data and is placed via the GSM network. TeliSIM does not require WiFi or mobile data for voice calling.
What else do I need?
TeliSIM includes two free DIDs (one for the US and one for the UK), however you can add additional DIDs from your DID provider to offer local phone numbers virtually anywhere in the world you need.
You also need an account with a VoIP Termination provider. We recommend only high quality termination for this solution, which is easily affordable with TeliSIM’s high profit margin.

How do I get started?
TeliSIM is available only to Telinta customers, so you will need to first establish an account with Telinta. A separate account with our GSM partner, Global 1 SIM, will also be required. Contact us to ask about our TeliSIM Starter Program.
Can TeliSIM call and send SMS to phones not using TeliSIM?
Yes, your TeliSIM users can call and send SMS to any phone which is capable of receiving calls and SMS.  TeliSIM is not a peer-to-peer solution, but rather it enables your users to have full access to the global PSTN, which includes phones using TeliSIM.
What size SIM cards are available?
TeliSIM uses a 3-in-1 sized SIM card which fits standard, micro and nano SIM card slots. TeliSIM SIM cards are part of your TeliSIM solution; third-party SIM cards cannot be used with TeliSIM.
What is a SIM card’s life time?
A SIM card must be used at least once within 12 months of purchase, and once every 12 months afterwards in order to stay active.
Can I have a free trial?
One of our sales associates would be happy to provide you with a live demo via desktop sharing and conference call, however we do not provide free trials before becoming a Telinta customer.
How am I billed for the TeliSIM solution?
Global 1 SIM will bill you for SIM cards and your usage for Mobile Termination Charges, SMS and Mobile Data. Telinta will send you a separate invoice for switching and billing. Your providers of VoIP Termination and DIDs will also bill for their services.
Are there any monthly recurring charges for the SIM cards?
No, there is a one-time cost to purchase a SIM card and there are no monthly fees.
How do I bill my customers?
Telinta’s hosted softswitch platform provides you with fully integrated switching, billing and customer management capabilities.
Can I offer both prepaid and postpaid services?
Yes, TeliSIM lets you offer both prepaid and postpaid services. Users can easily replenish their prepaid balances directly from a phone equipped with the TeliSIM SIM card and a pre-defined credit card, without the need for third-party mobile top-up providers. Additionally You can offer top-up via voucher and online. You can also use Telinta’s convenient PayPal plug-in.

Can I design my own pricing bundles and promotions for TeliSIM?
Yes, you are in complete control of the pricing you charge your customers, and you can design promotions to meet the needs of your market. Since all of our solutions are fully integrated within our hosted softswitch platform, you can even design promotions that bundle services together both while you customer is calling from their home, their office, their mobile device, or while traveling.
