Telinta Hosted PortaSwitch has two levels of redundancy - network and service redundancy.

Core network redundancy is achieved by duplicated paths between most critical servers, switches, and routers with no single point of failure. Redundancy on connectivity to the Backbone is achieved by physically diverse paths to the major carriers.

Service redundancy is achieved by duplicating most critical servers, switches and routers. Our state-of-the-art servers have redundant parts like disks in RAID, redundant power supplies, redundant fans, multiple processors and ECC protected memory. All vital servers are interconnected via dual network paths using standard network communications protocols. In the same racks we have spare servers identical to our production servers. In the past this has allowed us to experience zero down time. If a server swap is ever necessary, we have successfully practiced this procedure with nearly zero downtime.

Own IP addresses, Own domains, SSL certificates

To allow our customers to conceal the PortaSwitch platform provider's name we can reassign the IP addresses to you. The process for doing so is called SWIP and is documented at http://www.arin.net/registration/guidelines/report_reassign.html

With Telinta hosted PortaSwitch our customers use their own domain names thanks to our web redirect servers. We can even change reverse DNS to provide any domain name you want, even a non-existent one.

Additionally, we provide web interface to auto generate SSL certificate signing request that you can sign with a third party to prove web site authenticity to your visitors.
