What is the hosted PortaSwitch from Telinta?

Telinta's hosted PortaSwitch is a turnkey, hosted VoIP billing, switching and customer management solution enabling telecom service providers to offer VoIP telephony services.

You can think of the Telinta's hosted PortaSwitch as your "virtual telecom department" that enables rapid market deployment without investment in software, hardware, network facilities, engineering, and operational overheads.

Do I need to host my equipment at Telinta?

No. Telinta's hosted PortaSwitch can be accessed via public Internet.

What sort of training is available? Can someone come to my office and show me how to use it?

As part of our signup, we provide instructor lead 6-hr remote training split into three sessions on different days. For the training we use our remote server that can be reached over high speed Internet connection. Communications via a phone or Skype enables efficient real time interaction.

Objective of the training is to learn about the platform's capabilities, essential billing concepts, available interfaces, navigation via the web interface, and troubleshooting using the built-in tools. By the end of the training we expect our trainees to be confident in configuring and using basic features of the platform.

How long has Telinta been in business?

Telinta has been in business since February of 2002.

How much do Telinta services cost?

Pricing depends on total call volume. Price per minute decreases significantly as total call volume increases. Please contact us at sales@telinta.com for details.

What makes the Telinta's hosted PortaSwitch unique?

Telinta hosted PortaSwitch is more advanced and more diverse than any other PortaSwitch installation in the world.

There is no other hosting company out there that can offer PortaSwitch with functionality available from Telinta. Over the years, Telinta enhanced major components of PortaSwitch, developed variety of plug-in modules and internal tools to handle large number of new features and value added services that are not part of standard PortaSwitch.

Thanks to redesigned software architecture, natively integrated Open Source packages, and numerous custom patches, performance of our PortaSwitch surpasses any other PortaSwitch on the market today.

How fast I can be UP and Running?

It takes less than three business days to get access to your freshly configured partition after the service agreement is signed and the signup fee is received.

How long is the contract term?

The Service Agreement is month-to-month with no minimum commitment; you may cancel at any time without penalty.

Is the technical support included with the service?

We provide configuration support for the first three months of service to aid you in setting up your business. After this period, you have the option of purchasing a support contract from us if you do not feel fully comfortable with the platform. We typically do not refuse support to our customers even without a support contract, however such requests receive lower priority.

Will we get a dedicated IP address?

Yes, we allocate four dedicated public IP addresses (called /30 network) to your services.

As a service provider, Telinta has the ability to reassign parts of our IP range to our customers. The process for doing so is called SWIP and is documented in detail at the following address:

The /30 allocation is small, therefore Telinta is not required to report your information to ARIN without an explicit request. However, this is entirely up to you.
